New hires ask about processes that have already been explained. No reliable reference exists – so someone takes the time once more.
Everyone runs processes a little differently. When something is passed on verbally, variations emerge — internally it rarely shows, externally it does.
When the experienced colleague is sick or on vacation, onboarding stalls. Processes are delayed because no one else knows the answers.
A process change was communicated – by email, in a meeting. Two weeks later, part of the team is still working with the old version.
The symptoms look different, but the cause is usually the same: knowledge lives in people's heads, not in systems. With every new hire, every new location, every new process, the effort grows — and shows up most clearly in four places.
01 · Operational
When every process is explained individually, you do not get big mistakes – you get many small ones. Standards drift gradually, without anyone noticing, until a mistake shows up in customer contact.
Visible in: Complaints, error rates, inconsistent service quality
02 · Operational
Experienced employees spend a significant share of their working hours explaining the same matters over and over. That time is missing from value creation.
3 hours of weekly explaining × €40/h × 44 working weeks = €5,280 per person per year
Visible in: Senior workload, leadership capacity
03 · Strategic
Experienced employees carry enormous know-how – but rarely document it. Illness, time off, or resignation leave a gap that is hard to close.
Visible in: Staff turnover, absences, handovers
04 · Strategic
With every new employee, location, or product, the explanation effort grows. Onboarding turns from a routine task into a bottleneck – and slows growth at the very place you least expect.
Visible in: Expansion, product launches, new locations
Structure knowledge clearly – in a format that meets three requirements at once.
Central and accessible. Every employee can find the relevant information on their own – regardless of who is available right now or how long someone has been with the company.
Consistent. Everyone gets the same information at the same quality. Not the version someone just explained under time pressure.
In a format that actually gets used. Written documentation meets the first two points in theory. But it is rarely read in full – and even more rarely remembered.
Agency, AI avatar, or internal team – every option has its place. The table shows where the limits are.

Vidancy videos combine custom illustrations, naturally spoken narration, and animated graphics – factors that peer-reviewed learning research has shown to deliver large effects.
38%
Better performance on demanding content
On difficult learning questions, infographic videos clearly outperform classic lecture recordings: a 38% success rate compared with 18%. The effect shows up where it matters – in deeper understanding of complex content.

Employees stay longer with employers that invest in learning
94 percent of employees say they would stay longer at a company if their employer actively invested in their development. Learning is the number-one retention strategy.

Vidancy is built by two founders who combine enterprise video expertise with software engineering. You do not speak to an anonymous platform, but to the people responsible for product, consulting, and technology.
Alexander Harpain
Sales & Marketing
Alexander is your point of contact for requirements, use cases, and the right starting point with Vidancy. After six years running an explainer-video agency, he knows what companies need from training videos, brand consistency, and internal approvals.
Friedemann Claus
Tech Lead
Friedemann is responsible for the technical implementation of the platform. He makes sure script, Brand Kit, AI production, rendering, and data protection work together reliably as Vidancy continues to evolve as software.
At the start, you set up a Brand Kit once – a complete profile of all Corporate Identity specs for your brand. In it you define:
• Colors: primary color, secondary color, background color and text color (each as HEX value)
• Background: how the visual background in the videos should look
• Typeface: your corporate font (or a matching Vidancy font)
• Illustration: a recommended style or your own style from 1–5 uploaded reference images plus a short description – from that, Vidancy creates a style anchor that is reused in every scene of every video
• Logo: SVG or PNG
Vidancy applies these values pixel-perfect in every rendered video. Unlike with pure AI generators, colors are not "interpreted" – they are applied 1:1, video 1 looks like video 50.
If you create videos for several brands, cover different sub-products, or run several client projects as an agency, you set up one Brand Kit per brand, product or client. The Starter plan includes one Brand Kit, the Business plan three, the Pro plan ten.

Yes. Vidancy has a full editor where you can flexibly adjust the finished video – virtually every element can be swapped or changed:
• Edit the script and spoken text
• Change the voice-over speaker
• Regenerate or swap individual images / scenes
• Add, change or remove on-screen text overlays
• Reorder scenes
• Leave comments (for team feedback)
You only change the part that doesn't fit – not the whole video.
Vidancy was founded by Alexander Harpain and Friedemann Claus – two computer scientists who met in 2017 at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology.
Alexander ran an explainer-video agency for six years, working with dozens of companies. Through hundreds of client projects he came to understand what companies really need when producing video – and where they keep getting stuck.
Friedemann brings deep programming expertise and years of software engineering experience, including from his time at Porsche.
Vidancy is the result of both: video expertise meets technical depth.
